Rent a car from Zoom and arrive at Agumbe with ease! The best way to get there is via the Mangalore-Bangalore Highway. Continue along this road until you reach SH57. From there follow signs to SH27 and then stay on this road until you reach your destination. Here are some things to do while exploring Agumbe:
Barkana Falls: The 10th highest waterfall in all of India is very close by to Mantralayam. Formed by the Seeta River, this waterfall is a massive 850ft tall!
Onake Abbi Falls: In the Kannada language “Onake” means “pounding stick”. This is an instrument used by villagers to make grain into flower. A short 5KM trek is all that separates you from this magnificent view of the waterfall!
Sunset Point: One of the highest peaks in Karnataka, this beautiful spot to watch the sunset (or sunrise) is a mere 10 minute drive away from Agumbe.
