Gajanur is a small village 12 KM from Shimoga and is located
very close to the border between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Widely known for the
Gajanur Dam, the River Tunga flows through the Gajanur village and creates a
beautiful place for a picnic. Gajanur is the perfect place to include amidst a
road trip throughout Karnataka or the Western Ghats.
Rent a car from Zoom and arrive at Gajanur with ease! The best way to get there is via the AH47/NH4. Continue along this road until you reach Bangalore – Honavar Road. From there continue along this road until you reach the Solapur- Mangalore Highwayyour, and follow this to your destination. Get there faster than with a bus or train and stop at your own convenience.
