Hornadu is a holy village widely known for its Annapoorna
temple. This temple is particularly famous because anyone, regardless of his or
her age, religion, gender, or caste is given a full three-course vegetarian
meal when they visit. The village of Hornadu is also near the scenic Malnad,
making it the perfect destination if you want a mixture of history, culture,
and nature as well.
Rent a car from Zoom and arrive at Hornadu with ease! The best way to get there is via the Bangalore-Mangalore Highway to SH-71. Continue along this road until you reach Belur road and take it to National Highway 234. From there continue along this road until you reach SH106 and follow this to your destination. Get there faster than with a bus or train and stop at your own convenience.

Horanadu Temple: If you are visiting Horanadu, it is a necessity to visit this temple. The main attraction is the “Sri Adishktyatmaka Annapurneshwari Ammanavara Devastana”. This is the main diety of the temple and it is made entirely of gold.
Sri Udbava Ganapathi Temple: About 3 KM away from the main temple, if you came to see impressive architecture and learn more about the history of this ancient place, you must visit this as well. The easiest way is to trek directly from Hornadu temple, but driving is an option as well.
Bhadra River: Roughly 4KM away from the main temple, if you want to relax by the river for a picnic with friends and family this is the perfect place to visit. Make sure to bring your own food, as it is difficult to find options for meals in this area.
