Abbey Falls: Roughly 8km away from Madikeri, this waterfall is immersed in coffee plantations, spice estates, and streams that join into the Kaveri River. Depending on the time of the year, the intensity of these falls can be heard from the road nearby! The best time to visit is either during or shortly after monsoon season.
Raja’s Seat: A small building with a garden surrounding it that offers an incredible view of the valley below. According to Coorg legend, this is where Kings would spend their evenings. This is best visited early in the morning or late in the afternoon for the sunrise/sunset.
Madikeri Fort: Built in the 17th century by Mudduraja, this fort boasts and impressive palace as well as two life sized elephant statues! If you are tired of nature and trekking this is a great site to learn about the history of this area.
