About Mudumalai National Park

Mudumalai National Park is a wildlife sanctuary and tiger reserve located on the border of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala. The park is 321sq Km large, and in combination with three other protected reserves forms India’s largest biospehere, known as the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. It is home to several endangered species, including the Indian Elephant, Bengal Tiger, and the Indian Leopard. It is also home to more than 266 different types of birds, making it an extremely important ecosystem to protect in the future. Make sure to bring a camera as these are some of the best viewpoints you will be able to get of the park and the various animals!

Elephant Feeding Camp:
Do you like to feed animals? Look no further! Here you can not only watch the animals eat, but you can also feed them yourself! These animals are kept safe from poachers and are in captivity to protect them, and they are well behaved around children of all ages.

Kallaty Falls:
Located close by, these falls offer an incredible viewpoint of the national park. Just a small trek up to the top, but worth the effort to say the least! If you are visiting Mudumalai National Park this is a must see!

The best time of year to visit Mudumalai National Park is from February to May, and then September to October.
