Munnar is a famous hill station in southwest Kerala that
lies in the Western Ghats of India. The name Munnar is believed to mean “Three
Rivers”, and was given this name because it is the location where the
Madhurapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundaly rivers meet. It is widely regarded as one
of the most beautiful destinations in all of India with it’s vast tea
plantations, stretches of rolling green valleys and mountains, diverse plant

Follow these roads until you reach Kochi-Dhanushkodi Road and take this to Kochi-Madurai-Tondi Point Highway, and then follow this to Munnar-Udumalpet Road. Attukad Waterfalls: A short drive away from Kochi Road (about 5km from Munnar) lies an incredible waterfall immersed in the jungle. However, it is a very tough road to drive on in order to get here, so please drive with caution! Once you reach the waterfalls though they are sure to impress anyone!
Pothamedu View Point: Easily the most famous viewpoint in all of Munnar, if you want to get some breathtaking pictures this is the place to go. For an extra impressive experience make sure to bring some binoculars and try to spot the various wildlife roaming about the area!
Tea Plantations: Tours to various tea plantations can be arranged very easily. Work with your hotel/hostel to find some good options that will suit your schedule and desires. Make sure to also buy some of the tea from the local shops!
