Sathodi Falls is a waterfall located in Karnataka, India,
that is widely visited by tourists every year. The fall is about 50 feet tall
and is a combination of flows from several unnamed streams. The waters from
this fall eventually flow towards the Kodsalli Dam into the Kali River. If you
are looking for a beautiful waterfall to visit in the midst of a longer
road-trip, this is one of the best places to visit in Karnataka. It is also one
of the lesser-known tourist destinations, so you won’t have to worry about
large crowds and avoiding traffic!
Rent a car from Zoom and arrive at Sathodi Falls with ease! The best way to get there is via the AH47/NH4. From there follow SH6 to NH63/SH93. Continue along this road until you reach Yellapur-Sathoddi Falls and follow this to your destination. The entire trip is roughly 442KM and should take about 7 hours, but if you get lost our GPS can guide you the entire way! Get there faster than with a bus or train and stop at your own convenience.
Rent an SUV if you have a big group or rent a sedan such as the Vento or Ford Figo if you have a smaller group or are with your significant other.
If you don't own a car or don't want to take your own car, then Zoom has several options for you to consider:
Hatchback : Take our Ford Figo ZXI for flexibility in your travels. The Figo gives you freedom to explore Sathodi Falls however you want.
Sedans : Zoom with Volkswagen Vento or BMW 320d if you want to ride around Sathodi Falls in style. These cars are great if you have a small group or are with your significant other.
SUV : If trekking is what you crave, the mighty Scorpio is all yours to explore the unexplored. No need to worry about steep uphill climbs or rough terrain, the Scorpio can handle it all. The Scorpio is especially good if you are with a large group of people.
All Zoom cars come with the following: -
- All-inclusive tariff which includes fuel, comprehensive insurance and taxes.
- A 3G enabled tablet, which makes navigation a breeze.
- No deposit required to Zoom off.
The only place to visit in Sathodi Falls is the actual falls. It is a great place to spend the day with family and have a picnic, or simply relax and take pictures. There are a lot of diverse flora/fauna in the area and it is a great place to spend the day. If you desire you can also take a swim in the waters! However, don’t expect much from this one waterfall; it is best visited as a part of a much longer road-trip and this can be a perfect stop along the way.
The best time to visit Sathodi Falls is during or after monsoon season, as this is when the falls will be at their peak flow.
