Vindhyagiri: Easily the main attraction of Shravanabelagola, this 470-foot hill must be climbed barefoot! There are 660 steps to the top but people of all ages are able to handle the trek. Make sure to bring enough water, as there aren’t shops along the way for food and drinks.
Bahubali Statue: Standing at the top of Vindhyagiri is the world’s largest monolithic stone statue. Standing at a massive 17.38meters (58ft.) high and weighing in at over 80 tons, this statue also boasts inscriptions in Tamil, Kannada, and the oldest recorded evidence of Marathi dating back to 981 AD! It is a must see if you are visiting Shravanabelagola.
Odegal Basti- (Trikuta Basti)- The Odegal Basti is truly an architectural marvel. It received its name because of the odegal or stone props used to strengthen its basement walls, and it is the only Trikutachala (triple shrine) in all of Shravanabelagola.
