The best thing to do in Talakadu is to see the various temples. Here are three of our favorites :
Vaidyanatheswara Temple: One of the five Panchalinga Sthalas, this temple is the most popular temple in Talakad. Pilgrims from all over India come here to worship lord Shiva and learn about the magnificent history of Talakadu.
Pathaleshwara Temple: Connected along the same path, this temple is the second most famous, and another one of the Panchalinga Sthalas. Located roughly 1km away from Vaidyanatheswara, make sure to bring water along the walk.
Maruleshwara Temple: The third temple of the pathway, this temple is currently maintained in the best condition of all three. A great way to end the three temple tour, and a great spot to have a picnic afterwards.
