Talakaveri, widely known as the origin of the Kaveri River,
is located near Bhagamandala in Karnataka. Due to being the source of the
Kaveri, a tank or “Kundike” has been constructed on the hillside to illustrate
the significance of this spot. A small temple has also been built here, and is
the frequent destination of pilgrims from all over India. Furthermore,
thousands of people visit every year to witness the rise of the fountainhead,
when water shoots upward from the spring at a predetermined moment. Visit
