Yana is a small village in Karnataka widely known for its
mysterious rock formations and scenic beauty. The two rock formations, named Bhairaveshwara Shikhara and Mohini
Shikhara respectively, are made of solid black crystalline Karst
limestone, and are accessible only through a short trek through the dense
forest. Bhairaveshwara stands at 120 meters tall, while Mohini stands at
roughly 90 meters tall. There is also a cave at the bottom of these structures,
creating an eerily magical feel to the entire place. If natural wonders of the
world are what you desire, these rock formations are unparalleled to anything
else in the world.

tourist destination for rock climbing, as an alternative to Hampi.
