About Yercaud

Yercaud is a hill station most famous for it’s Yercaud Lake, located in the Shevaroys range in Tamil Nadu. Literally meaning “Lake Forest”, Yercaud lake was given it’s name due to the wealth of trees surrounding the Yercaud lake. Moreover, it is also known as the “Jewel of the South”. A popular tourist destination, many come for the beautiful weather, scenic views, and abundance of oranges, bananas, coffee plantations and much more! Yercaud is a little known weekend getaway from Bangalore, yet is one of the most enchanting places in all of Tamil Nadu.

The best way to get there is via the AH3/NH7. Continue along this road until you reach SH188, and then follow signs towards Yercaud. The entire trip is just under 230KM and should take a minimum of four hours, but if you get lost our GPS can guide you the entire way! Get there faster than with a bus or train and stop at your own convenience.
